The Knurl description and bookmarklet shouldn't be displayed in status messages. For one, Drupal has the tendency to show status messages more than once if an anonymous user logs in from the knurl page. Also, anyone using jQuery message effects will go crazy after seeing the status messages more than a few times.

Agreed - this is fixed in the latest release. Currently I've just moved this to the description for the field. Could probably be implemented better in the future.
