Hello! I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'd like to control my slider area from a menu (or a block that sites where the left menu lives). Has anyone ever tried this?

Basically, I *don't* want the top/bottom controls to display, but instead, I'd like to have a left/right menu control the slider behavior.

Thoughts? Is this possible? Am I crazy?

This is very possible. Many different ways of accomplishing this. There are already left/right arrows provided so with a bit of CSS or re-theming the slider you could do it.
