Description

On my site, I use node override to chose what file to stream (using rtmp). This is however the only thing that separates the video nodes from each other, which means that I would want to leave as much control as possible with profile settings. As soon as the node override kicks in, I can't for example simply turn off embedding or change streaming server for all nodes, since each node will override the setting. Having lots of videos, enhancements in this area would be very nice.

Today, the node profile serves me well as a template for new video nodes. To give the customers the ultimate UX, I would suggest having a checkbox beside all main categories in the profile settings saying "Override these settings in node". That way, the rest of the settings would be left to the profile. The other benefit, is that the form used to add video nodes would be much simpler. Double win!

Any thoughts?
