Description

I have been using GMap Macro module to create GMap Macros for use with the GMap filter (that turns the macro into the Google Map frame). The first marker in any macro code always moves around the screen when you zoom in and out, and it's never in the right place to begin with.

I have taken to adding a marker on the other side of the world from the map that I am trying to create to get around this problem.

This macro will produce a static map in Venice, Italy, with a marker in the right place. If you zoom right out you can see that there is another marker near Canada/Greenland. When you zoom in and out and pan the map, this marker will move around the screen with you.

[gmap markers=:: 80.84863053322074,-74.53125 + 45.43869135160112,12.340071201324463 |zoom=15 |center=45.43869461368113,12.340092658996582 |width=530px |height=300px |control=Small |type=Hybrid]

Other problems with GMap include the fact that it uses PHP's parse_ini_file function and my web host disables this function - so it doesn't load any of the clever markers, and I always get a pile of php spew when I first load the GMap Macro page.

PS: I notice that 6.x-2.x-dev is underway. Perhaps this problem has already been addressed.
