how do i get a CCK textfield to display a trimmed version of the text just like the text fields on drupalmodules.com

for example
http://drupalmodules.com/module/feedapi-imagegrabber

by clicking on [More...] it shows the hidden part of the textfield.

and can I use this functionality in VIEWS too?
