Greetings, I tried renaming the images folder and now I can't change it back or delete it. I've gone so far as to delete the whole drupal installation and try reinstalling but now I can't delete the files folder which contains the images folder. It says I don't have permission to do this action.

Do I have any options at this point? Other than deleting my addon domain and re adding it?

you cannot delete or modify the folders created by drupal when safemode setting is ON on server, because they are owned by another user. try creating previously all needed folders by ftp.

Net2FTP comes to mind (running locally only), but I'm sure there are others. If you don't trust yourself with deleting items in the dark, this may be a better solution. This is what I did awhile ago, but I don't remember which client I actually used.
