I. FCK Setup
a. added a new role "administrator" (Admin) to the collection of original roles "anonymous user" and "authenticated user" (User).
b. Admin and User have identical permissions to FCKEditor (access & allow file uploads).
c. I enabled Admin in FCKEditor Settings -> Profiles: Advanced.
d. User has the desired access to FCKEditor in Advanced.
e. FCKEditor does not appear to load for Admin

II. Versions
a. Fresh drupal install - I installed everything yesterday (4/7/09)

III. I have since this post tried:
a. Created a new FCKEditor Profile called "administrator"
b. removed Admin from FCKEditor Profile: advanced
c. enabled Admin in FCKEditor Profile: administrator
d. Result: no change

IV. latest changes
1. I removed the role: "Administrator" (Admin) from user: user1
2. user1 still does not have access to FCKEditor.
3. user2 with original role "authenticated user" (User) still does
4. Added role: Admin to user2
5. user2 loses access to FCKEditor.
6. Removed role: Admin from user2
7. user2 regains access to FCKEditor

V.
1. Should I replace user1 with a new user: "user3" and just put it down to being a one-time bug?
2. I am still having trouble with the role: Admin being able to use FCKEditor.

EDIT

I may have confused the issue. I am not getting an edit box under user2 when I try to reply to a forum topic. But I do get an edit box under user2 when I try to create a forum topic.

user1 with User role CAN access FCKEditor to create a new forum topic.
user1 with Admin role CAN access FCKEditor to create a new forum topic.

Closing *SUPPORT REQUEST* opening new *SUPPORT TICKET* about why forum replies cannot use FCKEditor.
