you can set '#wysiwyg' => FALSE when defining the form to tell wysiwyg editors like FCKEditor to ignore the form element.

committed to 6.x, thanks. BTW you may want to consider using http://drupal.org/project/wysiwyg to manage fckeditor; it avoids this problem entirely.
