Increasing the limit for number of drop-down items

Issue Summary

Currently, one can't add more than 8 items to the drop-down field of a flexinode content type. Is there any way to add more items?

Making this a feature request, but it really needs to be confirmed, since I am not aware of the 8-field-limit.
