Many issues have been fixed before releasing this new version.
It is highly recommended to update to this version, since it includes a lot of optimization, code clean-up, new features and bug fixes.
A new version of Nice Menus with some new features. READ THE UPGRADE.TXT FILE FOR INFO ON UPGRADING FROM 6.x-1.x VERSIONS. There are significant changes regarding the theme functions and some CSS classes, so if you have custom theming you will likely need to make changes and test on a test site before deploying your upgrade.
- FEATURE #301247: Add first, last, even, odd classes to menu items.
- BUG #621544: Get global setting to play nice with admin menu.
- BUG #507642: Moved CSS comment with HTML to the README so that it doesn't break CSS aggregation.
- FEATURE #457692: Add hoverIntent plugin.
Also, removed the legacy wrapper functions that made the theme function names backwards compatible. You must now change the name of any NM functions you are calling in your themes.
BUG #235562: JS is now called using drupal_add_js and you can enable/disable IE support. This will turn on JS for all browsers but Nice menus only actually runs its JS hacks for IE.
- BUG #284294: turn off block caching since too much is changing per load.
- BUG #288127: cleanup block title to use human-readable name rather than the machine name.
- BUG #225439: Fixed a minor bug re: the link theme function.
- BUG #228323: Using user name on the navigation block.
- BUG #235053: Empty ULs were created when the user did not have access
to child menu items.
- BUG #236078: Primary link theme function assumed using the default
primary-links menu.
- FEATURE #211749: The number of Nice Menus blocks can now be set to any
number from 0-99. It is a textfield rather than the limited dropdown from
before.
- FEATURE #170840: Added an IE hover class for the LI so it can be themed
BUG #196323: Removed slideDown/Up in IE JS to improve performance.
BUG #200990: Changed iFrame dimensions to get rid of blank box in certain setups.
TASK: Adding newlines to lists so the view source isn't a nightmare of one long string.
