There seem to be two ongoing methods for fixing the location cck views relationship

#391160: CCK/Views: location_instance fix via patching location.views.inc

and #347030: location_cck needs a views relation via patching location_cck.module

In which should we focus our efforts? I'm thinking one should be marked duplicate of the other.

Once this gets sorted out,

I've updated the documentation for zip code proximity search. It works and it would be valuable if someone tested it.

Unfortunately there have been a lot of changes to proximity handlers in views for the 3.1 release so that documentation is not accurate anymore.

I am rewriting the location doco now. This one should be up to date soon.

I have updated that page now.

I removed the embedded images because it means the page can't use the filtered html input format and most users can't edit it. Instead I have just referred to the attached images.

I am also waiting for one of the webmasters to upload new screenshots and an example views export but as soon as that is done it will be ready.
