I'm having trouble to get more than 1 bar of buttons in FCKeditor if I select them manually.

Normally, if I don't select any of the checkboxes in Buttons and plugins, then I will get all the buttons spread across 4 bars.

Now, if I go in the FCKeditor profile and select the buttons manually, it will only show a single bar even if there are more buttons than a single bar can hold.

Maybe this is a bug? The reason I need to select the buttons manually is because of IMCE. I installed the IMCE Wysiwyg API so that I can get IMCE working with FCKeditor via Wysiwyg API. If I leave everything unselected in Buttons and plugins, then IMCE won't work properly. So in order to make IMCE work, I must check the IMCE checkbox in Buttons and plugins, and I want every other buttons to work as well, so I checked every other buttons too. Now the only problem is FCKeditor will not show more than a single bar.

I have some different problems (Spell checking in FCKeditor under Firefox and adding the block Justify button) - good starting points for searching are:

Good luck - and please always report back how you solved your problem - we all enjoy reading self found answers for a number of reasons:

  • it is encouraging to see other people solving their own queries successfully;
  • it saves us a lot of time and searching if we get answers and not just find open queries;
  • we can all learn form the way you found the answers;
  • it is rewarding to be successful and to share it - how? just share, wait and see (if yes let me know - if not let me know as well)
  • you will learn more by sharing than what you share ... and ...
