Hi,

For the Acquia Slate theme, is it possible to make the front page image animated/rotated using something like InnerFade with JQuery?

If yes, where and how should I implement the codes? By the default, the front page image is called by the style.css file. I also noticed that there is no block that will cover the area, so I don't think I can put the codes in a block.

Thanks in advance.

I also would like to know if this is possible. For now I am trying to find out to get the image to display at all but when I do I'd just love to put a flash thingy in there!

I'm interested in placing flash in the front page as well. Does anyone have any ideas how to get this done in the acquia slate theme?

i have 'cheated' and used a roating animated gif - the file size is large (but with most people on high speed now that still just about is fine)

I would rather use javascript with an array of jpegs but i dont know how to integrate that into theAcquia Slate Theme. Any ideas?

See what i have done with the Gif here (all photos are by me aswell)

Thanks for posting this.

I have been searching for a way to do this for a while now and had just about given up on a easy way.

With the animated GIF, did you just add it into SKINR like you would any other image, or was there a special process you had to go through? Also, what was the actual size of your image file when you uploaded, just curious. On my size, I've cut the image size down to 340px vertical for better accessibility on netbooks, and also because it makes the image smaller, but just curious.

Do you have suggestions for animated GIF vs APNG?

Thanks again, and the site looks great!
