How can I change the default the first day of the week to Sunday? Every time a node is edited the day reverts back to a start date of Saturday.

Can this be added as a setting in a future release?

I can confirm this issue. On edit, it seems the select box does not open to have it's set value. Instead it opens with saturday selected every time. Changing it to another day does however effect the node, until you go to edit it again.
