Description

I've replaced the default search module on my site with Google Adsense Search which is part of the Adsense module (http://drupal.org/project/adsense).

Would it be possible to have Search 404 run a search using this instead?

Or maybe search 404 can support Google CSE? (http://drupal.org/project/google_cse) It's more configurable.

Hi taite11 / dennys

In the latest Dev Commit, there is a new option in the settings page of Search404 to redirect the normal 404 error to do a Google Search if the Google CSE Module is enabled.

Do check it out and let me know your thoughts on it. If things go fine, I can include this as a new feature in the next release.

Hi, I just download 1.6 and 1.x-dev (2009-Jun-15), but I didn't find this option. Do you mean CVS?

Although this issue is not created by me, but I think it could be closed now.
It works, no need to download the CVS. It's already in 6.x-1.x-dev now (search404.module's version is 1.15.2.11)

Seems to me that integration with the Adsense module is more useful because the Google CSE module doesn't allow the use of adsense. My original idea was to get the targetted Google ads on pages that users land on along with the search results.

I agree with taite11, i also would like to use adsense. CSE is great but adsense can make a bit of money with the same results.
