Description

G'Day, just hoping for a quick confirmation on a usecase for this module.

I'm running OG Forums for a bunch of members-only groups and there is a lot of concern that group/forum members will avoid the tedium of logging in to the website simply to post a reply to a forum message (which they are receiving by email).

So I want to provide a login/reply url in the footer of outgoing emails that allows users to "Click here to reply to this post".

The url would contain some token/signature syntax to authenticate the user and drop them into the correct forum/topic/comment mode.

Does this usecase connect with the functionality of the Secure Site module?

I'm concerned that Secure Site is perhaps overkill, or takes over too much of the security profile for the site... can someone with experience reassure me that the module is the right tool for my job?

Thanks,

JB

That doesn't sound like a use case for Secure Site. Secure Site does not parse login information from URLs.
