There is a slick and wonderful plug-in for Wordpress for Administration functions
I have installed on my test wordpress andsuddenly it turned Administration an enjoyable experience to use it -and even just to look at it .. its a wow! feeling

That would be great improvement that if the code, interface, usability logic adaped to the Drupal control panel module

i strongly advise you test it if you have WP test or site and to see adapted to Drupal

I don't see changing the Control Panel module to create anything comparable to this WP plugin. It looks like the WP plugin is mostly a theme excerise. The Administration module for 4.7 may provide some of what you are looking for.

its a wow! too, it makes admin/user see through the site.. thats a real impovement on right direction for drupal.. analogy ~ a car dashboard like just giving the 'drivers' the interact with the powerful engine under the booth
