Any plans for a Drupal 6 version of this module?

Does anyone know of a similar module for D6 to use in "new user registration" form to provide a select list with countries/states?

Subscribing interested in D6 solution also. For userregistration I think there is a profile_hierarchy module.
I need a taxonomy solution for this.
