I really need help bad, all users even anonymous sees the view edit track tab though if not enough permission the user cannot edit the page/blog.

I already remove all permissions to anonymous users but still appears. There was no error or the like so i don't know what to do.

I finally got rid of the track but still the view and edit tab... kinda annoying since you don't need that if you are just to read the page or blog

Modules use are:
blog modules
views
panel
node gallery
cck
admin menu
adv poll
birthdays
captcha
fckeditor
shoutbox

the last module i installed is node gallery... then rebuild. I didn't notice it until now :(

Theme: Acquia mariana for front
Root Candy for Admin

PS. after a little while anonymous can't anymore access the contents :D after I remove all permissions but gone back after i put a little permissions like
vote on polls
access birthdays
access comments
post comments
view imagecache node-gallery-cover
view imagecache node-gallery-display
view imagecache node-gallery-thumbnail
download original image
access content

Maybe just remove the view and edit tabs. but still how?

You've unchecked all permissions under the 'node module' header (besides access content?) for anonymous users at /admin/user/permissions ? In that case I can only think there's something wrong with your theme where it displays these tabs. I presume the edit tab for anyonymous users doesn't actually work?

I don't know if its the rebuild after the permissions I think

The edit tab is there but it doesn't work, and feel safe :)
but still annoying how that happen...

still thinking what i have done...

yup i have unchecked all then all access are restricted :))
now only access content is enabled but still no luck

tried every pre installed theme that drupal has but still no luck view edit track is still there...

btw, authenticated users too have this view edit track tab on every page/blog.... even not their own

really confused :(

If you're using preinstalled themes that's very strange - I'm afraid I've no idea what it is! Sorry, good luck fixing it.

maybe because of some modules its acting strange...

still thanks for the reply :)

i created a dummy authenticated user and remove all permissions except access content to authenticated user guess what, it fix the problem/ had an effect for authenticated users...

Now I can assume that something module or another config besides permission is messing up with drupal
I remove node gallery and node gallery access and rebuild but still the same.

what kind power does anonymous have lol...

Then again... I don't know the cause and don't know the cure... miraculously got there and miraculously gone...

Probably your blessing worked :D

elitefox’s picture

it was node gallery or node gallery access after all...

it was just node gallery access.

Had just ran into the same problem and noticed it occured the same time I added the node gallery. I removed that and rebuilt the permissions and it worked just like you said.

Likewise, I have no idea why!

I fixed the problem by disable the following under statistics module

access statistics
view post access counter

After that View and tracker no longer appeared
