This may just be a "feature" rather than a bug, but I'm documenting it to save other people frustration...

I defined an attribute, with Display type of Select box.

I added the attribute to a product - it worked ok.

I then changed the attribute display type FOR THE PRODUCT to Text field. Hey presto it no longer works!

Once I changed the display type back to Select box it worked ok again.

Took me a long time to track down what was happening...

Sorry not to reply sooner, hadn't checked my issues - and now of course I can't remember very well.

"Not working" in the sense that I was trying to use cart links to add a product with certain attributes to the cart. The product would be added but the attributes were ignored.

I think it sounds like the same problem.

Lucy, if it isn't, I guess you can reopen the issue.
