Fatal error: Call to undefined function uc_product_is_product() in html/sites/all/modules/ubercart/uc_store/uc_store.module on line 484

Immediately after enabling ubercart store, unable to even go to home page. This is the first module I enabled in ubercart.

I doubt it was immediately, because the module list page still works. Go to admin/build/modules and enable the product module, and I'll commit this patch.
