Sessions, contribution, connection, and Early Bird savings until 8 June.I was subscribing to the issues with the Location module hoping with all the flurry of activity we would see a stable release SOON...but, I awas looking over my module list and when I preview the location modules components.....everything shows that the Location is missing...but, I have deleted and re-uploaded both RC1 and the Dev version....why does it not see it?

yesct commenteddo you have the file in the location folder called location.module?
Maybe do a screen shot of the file listing in your ftp program, or just a directory listing. And reply with that.
Very odd. I wonder if searching on d.o in general, you might find a similar issue with another module that will help find out the cause with this one. Also, irc on #drupal-support might get you some real time debugging help. :)
About the flurry of activity... I just really really want to see some progress with this module, but I dont understand the code. So I hoped that by helping to organize, and clean up the issue queue as best I could, it would leave more time for the people who are coding to do that! :)
Mostly, I have been trying to reply to people with old issues, asking them to check the newest versions as there have been a lot of fixes, and also I have been trying to mark the issues that are duplicates so it is easier to see where the discussion on issues should be, and it is easier for the coders to see what still needs to be tackled.
There has also been at least one person posting a bounty to help encourage some progress. We will all do what we can I guess. And hopefully it will have results. :)

vegasphotog commentedOk....it seems there were some stubborn files in the 'supported' sub-folder of the location module I could not delete via ftp client. So, went in through the cpanel and deleted those.....then, uploaded the most current version. So, now it shows installed but still if I try to create an event, the location fields do not show up.
