I upgraded to Acquia-drupal-1.2.6.4889-update.tar and my site will not come back online. I need immediate assistance in getting the site back online, but also some consultancy on creating drupal into a multi site.

Please let me know if you are able to assist right away for getting our site back online, once that is back online we can begin the 2nd project of a multisite

Acquia's support team exists pretty much to help you solve problems like this one. If you are, for example, using a community subscription, you should be able to submit a support request ticket.
