i want to be able to display a gmap view of nodes that are near to the current node being viewed as a block, however, i don't see any way of being able to pass in the lat/long of the current node (this is using non-cck location)

is this not possible without cck?

thanks

Title: proximity search on current node » proximity search on current node, as a block, by passing lat long arguments
Issue tags: +location view arguments

tagging.

I dont think that lat long arguments are working in views yet with location.

But i seem to recall some php code posted that would do this in a block, ... or I might be thinking of php code that shows nodes near a user's location, maybe you could find that code in this issue queue and modify it to work?

This is possible in 3.1
