Userpoints Configuration

Dark-Light - April 16, 2009 - 16:40

I had this module bookmarked for a few weeks now, and been looking forward to eventually getting it online. I have finally installed it, and configured all the settings and so on, but realized it does to have any way to assign points to any user or any role oer any content type of anything. Infact, there is no mention of adding/subtracting points on anything. I've tried actions, triggers, content types, points settings, and I have no idea what else. I tried googling for help, searching the Drupal forums, I even scoured the developers site for help. It seems I am the only person having a problem like this.

Can someone please point me in the right direction? Do I need to manually code the integration into the node types, or do I need to install 3rd-party modules to make the link? Do I "need" the rules module installed, and how on Earth do I configure the adding of points upon specific actions like posting an article or submitting a comment?

I am completely at sea here, and desperately need some support. I have been looking forward to this module for over 3 weeks, and am now somewhat frustrated at its lack of support.

I will be genuinely grateful for any ammount of support anyone can give. Posting this is truly my last idea and resourt.

Thanks in advance.

Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.

just relax, and let me take u home ....

for user points, u need 2 modules
1. http://drupal.org/project/userpoints <--the basic core
2. http://drupal.org/project/userpoints_contrib <-- the add-on

see if this add-on in the contrib - "userpoints_retroactive" :
Award users points for their nodes, comments and votes that they have created so far, before userpoints was enabled on the site.

relax ..enjoy..
