What is going on with this module? Is it dead? Why has the code been removed from the CVS repo? Or at least hidden. Has coding moved to a different module? If so, what is that module?

It seems fine for me. I can download the code and see it there on the module page. There is nothing unusual going on with the module.

There are problems with the module and I can't see where anyone is fixing them. There is a list of pending patches that are just sitting there.

@chey — I was assigned maintainership of this module, but have been unable to keep up with the issue queue. I've put a notice on the module page asking for a new maintainer to volunteer.
