I have a site with 9 of the galleria installed using 14 photos per galleria.

When you click on a menu item to load the galleria node often the images load full size and stack down the page.

Sometimes the photos stack full size and then convert to the standard galleria with thumbnail pictures underneath selected photo as they should.

What browser does this behaviour occur in? It sounds like slow Javascript processing.

IExplorer and Firefox... latest versions

I wouldn't disagree. At first it stacks the pictures, then it converts to galleria format.

It isn't consistent. After the browser has cached the page it works just like it should from there out.

Changed to smaller picture size 400 max hgt and default thumbs.

It would be fine with me, if I got a little flash spinner or something to avoid having the pictures stack full size on top each other.

Maybe it's because your site has a lot of Javascript based modules, and the Galleria is processing at the end of the queue?

I can't change the site much at this point.

Currently, the site now has 19 galleria nodes and it looks like more will be needed.

Apart from the Galleria, there are no other JS. I would like to add some.

Maybe, if this is the case maybe tweaking the performance section of the Drupal is a place to start.

The webserver this site is on actually maybe the culprit, not enough ram memory to cache adequately.

Also, I got to thinking the galleria is not creating the thumbnails until it needs them.

If the module created and maintained the thumbnails with each respective node information this would not happen.

That is, if it were coded that way.

This is such an excellent mod for what I'm doing on this site, so I've gotta resolve the little stuff.

I've been to the Galleria site, and you can't get much help there, unless it's already been asked and answered.

Thanks for your responses Mark

Here's a patch that adds a quick line of JavaScript immediately after the Galleria image list to hide the images. Now the Galleria initializes as it normally does, but without even a flicker of the stacking effect that domineaux describes.

Looks good, thanks! Committed to DRUPAL-6--1.

This is probably caused by not specifying the height of the gallery Div ( assuming you have a separate Div for the Galleria.) see my wedding photography site at http://www.dickonclark.co.uk and see the source code #gallery height;450px; this should solve it!

Further to my previous post does anyone have a problem of the Galleria not loading properly at all when in a low signal area, even though it says the page has loaded, and another question, if you try and see my website www.dickonclark.co.uk on a Blackberrry I think it needs to load all the images first before it displays. On my home page I have 19 images so this is not practical. Maybe I'm expecting too much! I have to say Galleria is amazing though as Adobe Flash galleries dont work at all in the iphone.
