Fckeditor does not produce content on node

I had the site up and going just fine when suddenly the Fckeditor stopped working the way it should. In certain nodes the text got big and became uneditable in size and look (shows fine in the editor), and in other nodes (read blocks and pages) photos and videos disappeared (still looks fine in the editor). Some nodes are still ok, though.

Trying to make new blocks and pages does not work. The content shows fine in the editor but only the title comes out in the node. However, when I try to upload an image using IMCE it does not connect. I do have the file browser setting in fckeditor set at IMCE. This is the error message I get:

warning: include(./sites/all/modules/imce/tpl/imce-content.tpl.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/coolnyse/public_html/includes/theme.inc on line 1011.

Possibly the original problem came about when I disabled the Messaging PHPMailer.

This is what I have done to try to fix the problem:

1. Disabled all modules and even uninstalled them the clean way
2. Installed Fckeditor alone without any other modules and tried it out - still the same problem
3. Reinstalled the theme (waffles)
4. Reinstalled all modules to original setting (when problem occured). This is where I am right now.

The problem persists. Do I need to make a complete re-installment of the Drupal 6 or is there any other way around?
