This module would be so much more useful if it had Views integration
so we could make blocks that have a list of all the best comments on the site.
(Maybe use VotingAPI?) :-)
I could use the views integration to get nodes filtered based on whether they have a best reply marked or not.
E.g. I have a question & answer kind of node type where the node is the question and the comments are the answers. If the node author marks a best reply, the question is answered. Now, it would be great if I could make a view that lists all questions, and I could expose a filter for users to search for questions that are answered (=have a best reply) or unanswered (=no best reply yet).
I'm using panels to display the node, and I want to display best answer in a specific area (at a side of the content, for example). With views, it could be very easy to be done.
Integrating views is a fairly involved undertaking.
I can see how it would be useful, thanks to all the use case suggestions.
If anyone with more views experience wanted to get it started I would welcome the input.
For now I would be more interested in getting a D7 version up and running.
The use cases above are exactly what I am looking for. I understand views integration would take some work, and unfortunately, I don't have the skills to do it.
Another option might be to use the Rules module, and I am looking for guidance about how that could be done.
Something like "After Content has been update if best reply selected then (i.e. update a field best reply selected, send email, etc)

taslett commentedViews integration is not something I had considered.
Do you have any more use cases for views with bestreply?
gregarios commentedHmmm...
A "Best Comments" block.
A "Best Commenter's" block
Those seem to be my only choices with the Best Reply module.

RicardoJBarrios commented+1 Exactly the last scenario is when I'm now. It's a very good option.

gregarios commentedElGranAzul: I have no idea what you said. Can you clarify?
magnestyuk commentedI think ElGranAzul meant he needs what I outlined in #3.
