I use a primary links in 3 languages. When I edit content the menu settings are correct for the first and default language (dutch). But when I edit content in one of the other two languages, the menu settings are incorrect. They are automatically changed to another menu and another link name.
Should I switch to separate menus per language? I just finished theming the whole primary links menu :(

Yes, I think, you will have to provide separate menu for each of the language.

Quite sure this is a bug
I'm quite sure it is not supposed to work like this.
When I edit a page in French he automatically changes the menu settings to . If I change it back manually it still works. But why did he change it?
The same happens in Site Builing > Menus. When I edit a menu link that is in French, he puts in the menu again. When I want to change it, I only see the Dutch primary links and not the French.

Make sure that when editing any thing in Drupal you select proper language from the language combo.
Also check the language settings and try enabling path prefix.
