Twitter just released a new feature on their API pages - http://apiwiki.twitter.com/Sign-in-with-Twitter
Basically this allows you to log in to other web sites using your Twitter credentials.
Does anyone know if this works with OAuth or if there are any plans to implement it via this module?
Thanks,
Alex

walkah commentedwe are looking at doing this as part of twitter.module (with an oauth module dependency).

himerus commentedIs this planned for the 3.x version you mentioned starting work on a week or two ago?
I wasn't sure when I first saw a related issue if this type of functionality was in the scope of the module. Please let me know if you definitely decide to build it in for the next feature release, otherwise, I'd be willing to tackle a twitter connect module separately.

virme commented@walkah have you got any timeline when this functionality can be implemented.
I really need this functionality for my coming project. So i wanna find out if i should wait or hire somebody to develop it for my project. I would not mind considering tipping someone.

electricbrain commentedWe are working on a documentary about Twitter and our site is using the 2.6 version of this module. The director is pushing hard to get the Sign In with Twitter functionality working. What can we expect terms of a timeline for finalizing the 3.x version?

Anonymous (not verified) commentedThis is really important Feature for Drupal, tho i don't need it for my own sites right now.
If you want to get a bounty on this, i would help a lot to spread the word and raise the funds.
You could include a chipin widget with the amount you need on the project page.

sirkitree commentedThis thread seems to be getting no traction really - but there is some actual information in #493784: Information on "Sign in with Twitter". Please follow along there as I think that will give us all some better results.
