There is a noticeable delay (of about 1-2 sec) in rotation of images in the banner. In the theme configuration I checked yes to preload images, but it does not help. And it does not seem to be the server problem, because other images of about the same size are loaded much faster. Any advise on how to make images loading faster?

I would also like to know. I have the same problem, but it only loads slower in Internet Explorer. In Firefox it loads just fine without any delay.

I use a PHP script that rotates banners located in a specific folder on the server.

This issue is being closed because it is against a branch for a version of Drupal that is no longer supported.
If you feel that this issue is still valid, feel free to re-open and update it (and any possible patch) to work with the 7.x-4.x branch.
