Hello,

I was trying to get the "List" checkbox in the attached "picture1.png" screenshot to be checked by default when someone uploads a file.

I thought that checking the "Files Listed by Default" in the settings for my field in the attached "picture2.png" screenshot would do the trick but it didn't.

I don't know if the Files Listed by Default checkbox is supposed to do this or if it does something else.

Is there a way to have the "List" checkbox in picture1.png to be checked by default? Am I doing something wrong?

This patch should make the default checkbox work properly. I've committed it to CVS, so you can get the latest version or wait for the next release. I'll be putting out an RC2 version this week I think.

Just wanted to report back.

I downloaded the 6.x-3.x-dev (2009-Apr-22) version of FileField and this is fixed! Woot!

Currently 3.x and the 3.0 version are identical, so feel free to just use the 3.0 version which will work just as well. Thanks for the follow up. :-)
