I remember having read that mail2web was not compatible with og_forum (in some version). I can not google that remark back, and I am not sure if it is resolved along the way.

I know its a bit lame (i could try), but if there is a clearcut anwser, that you will only diagnose yourself after heavy testing, that would be nice.

So my question is, is mail2web compatible with og_forum, and while at it, with forum_access, so does it respect all node_access implementing modules?

(We are looking forward implementing mail2web on a 1000 members forum, so i'll be a specialist in a few weeks from now, hopefully helping others.)

I have not tried using mail2web with og_forum, however, I've used mail2web with OG; for example, with blog posts that belong to an organic group. In this case, it works fine. Since you're just posting comments to the node, the access is still handled based on the node itself. I'd suggest setting up a sandbox site and trying it out. If you do, it would be great if you could post back the results. If you run into a problem I'll try and look into it. I'm going to mark to resolved for now, and if you run into an issue, please post a new issue.

thanks,
Ian

is there any update on this issue? I am planning on using mail2web with OG Forums and I would greatly appreciated if someone could tell me if there is still an issue with using both modules together.

I do not know of any issues but I have not used og forums. I encourage you to do some rapid prototyping and see what kinds of issues you run into. If you run into anything, please open a new ticket explaining what the problems are.

Version: 6.x-1.0-beta2 » 6.x-1.0-beta4

Switch to mailcomment project. Mail2web is now known as "mailcomment" due to a trademark issue with the name mail2web.
