When I used content profile and APK to generate the user profile and enabled twitter module, there was no "add twitter account" menu when the user account was edited. While using the core profile module or content profile as user profile, the twitter module works.

Changed it to feature request as it seems to be a matter of integration. I would be very grateful if the maintainers get this into the module because APK is a vital part for a lot of sites and also for mine. ;-)

Please integrate this when Michelle has the new APK out. I could use it now but I can understand if you wait but nevertheless that should be done.

APK has no effect on the editing of user accounts so there's no integration needed for that. If you want a Twitter account to display on the user page, you need to integrate it with Panels.
