I'm wondering: Can Drupal import Invision Power Board topics/forums/etc into the Drupal forum? I've seen the database conversion instructions, but from what I see all this does is import your users. If you cannot do that, then is there any other forum software you can import posts/etc. into? (ex: convert IPB to PhpBB> Import PhpBB Database into Drupal Forum) - Thanks

I've been looking for this as well, haven't had any luck. Is it just me, that thinks "importing from IPB" would mean topics and posts as well as users? Or is this just not possible?

Well, from what I saw you can do what I said (IPB>PhpBB>Drupal), it's just that the conversion from IPB to PhpBB is soooo complicated, and I'm running IPB 2.1.2 (it doesn' appear there is a converter for it yet). If anyone here has PHP and MySQL installed on their PC and would like to help me out and convert my database to PhpBB, let me know. Currently, all I saw is a 1.3 and 2.0.X converter for IPB, though, so it might not work.

Dang it, I was afraid of that.

I'd hate to have to install phpbb just to do that. Although I am running the old 1.3 IPB so I'm slightly better off, (or worse for the wear?)...

I've got a IPB 1.3 forum with a ton of posts and users.. and I'd like to switch to drupal w/out loosing anything.
