Description

I'm not able to connect -- I've even created a new developers account, but still getting the same error.
Is there any way to get a more detailed error or any other suggestions?

I've tried combining the security key with my password (as instructed by the salesforce instructions),made sure to grant login access, and downloaded the "organization-specific WSDL" -- not sure what else to try...

thanks

first off, check #411534: Fatal Error for some troubleshooting tips, specifically http://drupal.org/node/411534#comment-1422084.

make sure you're using the Enterprise wsdl, not the Partner wsdl.

If you can't get the standalone php examples in the toolkit from Salesforce to work,
then there's something going on further down in your stack (ie. php / network problem, not drupal).

If the standalone php examples work fine,
then i'd suggest starting with a fresh drupal install, a fresh SalesForce module, and a fresh Salesforce toolkit.
If you can't get *that* to work, then there's something wrong with your SalesForce account setup, the Salesforce toolkit setup, or possibly with your network setup.

If the fresh drupal + sf + toolkit works ok, then start adding your other modules one by one to see if one of those is somehow preventing salesforce from doing its thing...

OH - also, there are 3 authentication fields for a reason:
You should not combine your security token with your password -- salesforce module does this for you.

ALSO: make sure that, when you save your configuration, you never leave the salesforce api password field blank, or your salesforce api password will be overwritten with a null value. (see #405138: SalesForce API Password gets reset when it is not re-entered at admin/settings/salesforce)
