Is it possible for a list to begin with a child term rather than root?

I have a hierachical vocabulary that is 3 levels deep. I've used the taxonomy list module to create a wonderful list of only the root terms and their descriptions. When I click one of those, I'd like to display a list of terms that are children of the item clicked. Then when a user clicks one of those children, I'd like to display a list of grandchildren terms. Is there a way to do this?
