...years ago. This module make use of the standard GA API's.

I think wallbay1 was referring to the new API for accessing the data from Google Analytics for display in your local website (as opposed to the API this module is using for entering data into Google Analytics).

Basically, doing something like this SOC proposal.

I'll be mentoring this student project. One of the goals will be to ensure that there is a clear separation with the existing google_analytics module. If there is overlap between the two modules, we should look at how to collaborate.

On a separate note, what would you like to see the Google Analytics API do? This feedback would be helpful as the project description is open ended about "interesting possibilities".
