what about creating a firefox addon where the user can bookmark out of the browser.

This would be awesome i think.

I think funana is right on with the bookmarklet idea. Try out something from #79655: bookmarklet script for userlink and report back in that issue.

Feel free to re-open this if you are able to post some Firefox addon code. That's not something that I'll have time to get to.
