Available Tutorial, perhaps?

Hello,

I am new to Drupal, but have a background in GIS, and I am trying to incorporate the ability to input lines and polygons to associate with Drupal nodes, much like GMap now does with points. I believe Geo is the module to provide this functionality but I am at a loss as to how or where to start. Is there a detailed step-by-step tutorial that could guide one on how to present a user with an API that allows the person to draw a polygon or line on a Google map interface to input spatial data?
