Hello,
well i'd like to voice my opinion in the direction of this module
so here goes, openwysiwyg should allow the creation of mutiple profiles[bar(s)] that are essentially lined to input formats,
or what would be better is that wysiwyg pulls out existing input format and creates profiles from them.
then the wysiwyg is loaded on a profile basis thus on a input format basis, normally the default input format of the user or the content type(this can be set using better_permissions.module)... what would be even more better is that the profile(bars) would change accordingly if a user changes the selected input format(well that's arguably rare but it can happen)...
moreover, in my opinion, when using this philosophy, you don't need permissions to give user access to a certain profile because the profile depending on the input format he's allowed to use... let us ponder why would a user have a permissive input format while he can't use wysiwyg, it makes no sense, if we're going to give some a certain input format, we do certainly want them to use a wysiwyg, why would we give them it in a gimped way?
maybe a disable button for the wysiwyg should be added on content type/node(?) basis to disable it, it might be a good thing..
As clear, this issue might be split to several different issues, so what do you say about the suggestion in general or maybe some particular points..
Omar
