bah, accidentally clicked save. Anyhow- I was wondering whether it would be possible to actually hide the links (for certain roles) at the top, the ones that get incorporated into the actual banner area. I've tried hiding the primary link block, but to no avail.

I'm really unsure how I can stop anon users from accessing those links.

Check on the php snippets on drupal.org documentation.. you might find something useful there..
