Can I set Calendar / Event module to send notifications / email to remind member before event start (e.g. 24 hours before start)?

If Event Management Reminder works, can I install this version (5.x-1.0) on drupal 6.2?

If both cannot work, do I install WebCalendar integration (5.x-1.0-beta1)?

I am also looking for a posibility to let users set up reminders for events and other content types... is there a way to do this with existing modules?

I am thinking of upgrading Event Manager Reminder to drupal 6, but not sure if I succeed.. :(

I am still looking for a best way to do this.

I have installed following modules: Calendar, CCK, Date, token, Token actions, views

Now I will try to set up notifications with "Token actions" or the "signup" module.

The visualisation with views-style -> calendar is not very nice and seems to be quite limited.

I will work on this in a few weeks.

Len me know if you find a solution. :)

I am also interested in a reminders for a content type (using: CCK, Date, Calendar).

I got the suggestion to use the signup module: http://drupal.org/project/signup

But I haven't really tried it yet. Please, let me know if you come up with any solutions!

This thread is pretty old, but you might want to check out Date Reminder.

I see this thread is too old and still now this is a big issue to send notification from event calendar. I am using full calendar view module and wanted to send notification to users on the new event creation and or reminding them for events. 

As per the requirement from client:

Configured the module to have a multiday event page. But client given (Message_digest )module to send notification to the existing users. But there is almost no resource to configure the module.

Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

I see this thread to be very old. I am using Full Calendar for scheduling event. Is there a way to send out event reminders and notifications from this module? or any similar module that does event scheduling, reminders and notification?
