Hi,

At the moment there is zero code, because I don't have a client that wants it and I don't have the time to start... I need some contributors to help with this project. Or it might be a long time coming. =(

If anyone *does* want to commercially sponsor the Airborne module (e.g. donate a bit of money to push things along, so I have time to take a little break from "normal" work and focus on it for a week or two) *OR* can donate some development time, I'd love to hear from them.

But right now, still at the research phase. It's a bunch of bookmarks and a grain of an idea. FWIW, here are my bookmarks so far:

http://www.aptana.com/air/ - looks like the best *free* SDK to date
http://www.aptana.com/docs/index.php/Getting_started_with_AIR_development - getting started HOWTO
http://www.sitepoint.com/article/adobe-air-todo-list-5-minutes/ - good looking tutorial (not actually done it yet)
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/tips_building_air_apps.html - points of order from Adobe

First step is for the developer (me or someone) to make an experimental AIR app to understand the JavaScript involved.

Next is to dissect that JavaScript and start working on dynamically generating it in a textarea with a Drupal module, according to some simple UI choices.

Then we'll be starting to get towards thinking about a dev snapshot.

A couple more:

http://robertnyman.com/2008/06/09/how-to-update-adobe-air-applications-a... - auto-updaters and AIR
http://www.onflex.org/DARE/ - one for the future, but potentially usable to package and release AIR apps automatically
http://www.onflex.org/ted/2008/06/dare-open-source.php - the source for the above

Agreed, I've never heard of DARE before. Will come here as soon as I finish my current project.

Subscribing.

Pending availability, I may have interest in getting involved on this one.

Cool. Sorry, still no activity. Trouble is my business is very busy at the moment and there's only two of us, so this is a "rainy day" project, but we haven't had any rainy days since I thought of it!

So if you can get involved, let me know and I'll add you to CVS. =)

This issue’s project has disappeared. Most likely, it was a sandbox project, which can be deleted by its maintainer. See the Lost & found issues project page for more details. (The missing project ID was 417436)
