Description

hey all,

for what I read on this page this module looks really cool - especially the Übercart integration bit ;)

since you're taking suggestions, I'll raise my hand and tell you - it'd be great to have some sort of blueprint scheme where each room is indicated in a scale from red to yellow to green - meaning if the room has just been taken or if it's close to being free.

as it's a graphic resource, there's no need for accessibility - ie, the blueprint could be combined with a table for the visually impaired. and the user could switch from table to blueprint using tabs.

but how to go about the blueprint is still somewhat blurry in my head. perhaps via flash, where you have a simple hierarchy of objects:

- floor;
- room;
- "free" colour (default green);
- "almost free" colour (default yellow);
- "taken" colour (default red).

in this way, a user could instantly see which rooms with a view are free, for example. and, of course, the small amount of fixed objects in the flash would make up for a super-fast loading blueprint /o/

there could even be a set of blueprints, one for each floor or sets of floors. for example, if the balcony has a different layout or if it's several blocks of appartments with slightly different layouts etc.

AND the module could come with an example floor plan in flash \o/ so, hope you'll find this useful. I sure would.

cheers,
Luciano

oh and another thing... there could be some icons as well, indicating whether the room has air conditioning, individual bathrooms, how many beds etc.
