No Transcoding — Accept other file formats

I've discovered that I can create a way to display my videos using Views, although it's not a completely satisfactory solution, it will due for the time being. I'm really excited about this module, but am unable to use it due to the ffMPEG situation — as stated previously (http://drupal.org/node/429520#comment-1510004).
My situation is that I already have videos on the site, or will be uploading them via FTP. They will all be H.264 or MP4 format. I'd like to be able to have this module be able to accept situations such as this. Simply catalogue and display them, as well as play them in the native format I've uploaded the videos as.
