I just installed drupal and this is the second website I have tried building with it. The first one had no issues.
However this one is giving me problems:
When I create new content I only have the option to title and body. Input format, revision information, flie attachements etc and the rest of the other options are not useable (i.e. the words are listed but you can't expand them).
As a result I have never been able to make a page and then promote it to the front page to act as a home. Any idea what might be causing this problem?

This is most commonly caused by a JavaScript error, which prevents the collapsible fieldsets from expanding. You'll have to figure out which third-party module introduced the conflict.

Also, if you are using a custom theme switch to a core theme to see if your theme is causing the problem.
My install is just the core
My install is just the core with no extra modules. I am using the "Fallen Trees" theme so maybe that is the culprit.

I changed the theme to the
I changed the theme to the same one that worked with my last site. I have no extra modules installed (other than what came with the drupal 6 core) and I am using the same host (godaddy).
For a browser I am using an up to date firefox on a MBP.
I am still unable to expand the fields properly.
I am going to try doing it in Safari and maybe try another computer before I do a re-install of drupal.
If you try a new
If you try a new installation, do it with a clean upload, in case there is old garbage among the existing files. Until you solve the problem, you can temporarily disable your browser's javascript support to get all fieldsets expanded.
did you ever get a solution
did you ever get a solution to this? i am having the same issue with my godaddy hosting account. all javascript seems to be just broken. tried javascript optimization thing. nothing. tried clearing cache, reinstalling, reinstalling with godaddy's preconfigured copy of drupal 6.13, reinstalling by zipping my site, uploading and unzipping, reinstalling the database data, clearing the database data and reinstalling from scratch... etc. any ideas how you guys fixed this?
and yes, javascript on my browser is turned on - the localhost copy of the same site works perfectly in a seperate tab anyway
are you actually using
