Hi Peeps,
I stumbled upon Drupal about 2 weeks ago, and after a few hours of getting to grips with a totally different method of website creation I totally fell in love with the Drupals CMS. I think the way the front end and back end work together its simple fantastic, but above all what makes drupal work for me is the community support. If there is anything I can possibly think of to find help on, I've simple searched this site and there has been an answer. Open source works best when there is a huge community to support it, and the modules and support for modules here is second to none. I've worked with other Open source projects, most recently Magento Ecommerce and the community just isn't a patch on this one.
I'm 2 weeks in with Drupal and still have a lot more tweaking to go, but for any other new guys out there here is some advise - Get to grips with the Views Module - Its the DOGS!
Anyway, take a look at my site, and yes I know its kind of Garland with a few twists, but hey I tried Zen and a few others, but what can I say, I liked the feel of Garland, I know the CSS is not as clean as others and there are a few frustrations with working from Garland, but that's what the community is there for.
The site is to showcase some of my favourite art with the use of the image module to create galleries and Views + Custom pager to help with navigation. - http://stunch.com

Nice! Thanks for sharing this
Nice! Thanks for sharing this with us. There is lots of work going on to improve the user experience for first-time Drupal users in Drupal 7 (http://www.d7ux.org), but it's great to see that your experience has been very positive already. I think you've done a great job, especially what you did to Garland... I've seen dozens of sites based on that theme, but they never have such subtle creative tweaks.
Happy drupalling!

Thank you for your positive comments, and the link to drupal 7 notes, it looks like drupal 7 is going to be awesome, although from past experience with open source I always fear the big upgrade, maybe Drupal will be different *crosses fingers

I'm afraid that upgrading to drupal 7 will not be a one-click, two minutes task. Minor updates (ie. 6.6 -> 6.7) are fairly easy with drupal, but major upgrades (ie. 6.6 -> 7.0) can be a much more work. The core developers have chosen for this policy so they do not have to maintain legacy code and support backwards compatibility, which would seriously slow down development and drupal performance.

The garland is so familiar, yet unique.
I like your play on that with the simple visual additions.
And I love content like this.
