Over the past few months the team at Raincity Studios has been working closely with the fine preople at Richards and Chan, developing the website for Lundin for Life..

Only local images are allowed.

We are happy to announce the launch of this new Drupal website.

What is Lundin for Life?

The Lundin for Life Foundation, is a Non-Profit and fundraising website. The Lundin for Life website includes daily blogs of the expedition, ongoing charity blog, a map of where the team currently is, online donations and updates.

The expedition will begin in January 2006 and the site will be fully active as the participants ride across the entire continent of Africa on motorbikes with only 2 support trucks.

The Lundin Tour of Africa, Cairo to Capetown 2006, will be raising funds and awareness of how to directly improve the quality of life in Africa through building water wells for fresh water, schools, housing, orphanages and medial support throughout Africa.

The donations thermometer is fantastic. Is it dynamic? Can you provide an overview of how it's done/ perhaps post the code? Or better yet a module? :)

Seriously, I'd be interested in how you accomplished it.

we are looking at ways to make it dynamic, but sadly, no! Not at this time..

You might want to consider CiviContribute (demo at www.openngo.org) for this site. It allows you to set up a simple donation page to accept donations via paypal and those donations (and the people that donated) are tracked in CiviCRM, a constituent relationship management solution.

CiviContribute also handles reciepts and thank-yous.

CiviCRM (including CiviDonate can be downloaded and installed as a drupal module). You'll want the 1.3 version for CiviContribute functionality.
